GENERAL ART ROOM POLICIES
BY ENROLLING IN A CLASS, CAMP, OR EVENT AT THE ART ROOM YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:
KINDNESS & RESPECT
Our goal is to foster an environment of creativity and exploration. You and your child agree to be kind and respectful to all participants (including The Art Room staff).
SOMETIMES WE GET MESSY
We love to have fun and get messy! Make sure you/your child wears clothes that they can get dirty in. We will provide a smock/apron whenever using wet/dirty materials.
WE RESPECT MATERIALS
As a process-based studio we use a wide range of materials including but not limited to: glue, wax, paint, oil pastels, hammers, glue guns, and other sharp objects. We will go over safety rules for each material before they can access them. While we will do our best to monitor each child’s use of these materials, accidents may occur from time to time due to the inherent risk in using these materials.
SAFETY FIRST, ALWAYS
The safety of you/your child is our top priority. You acknowledge that your child has no physical, emotional, or social conditions that make it dangerous or unwise for your child to participate in our art programs. For the safety of everyone, running is not permitted in the studio.
PERMISSION TO SHARE
We love sharing process-based art with others. All media usage is ‘OPT OUT’ only. We may take photos/videos/audio during art classes to post on our social media platform. We are the sole owner of all media. By enrolling in any of our programs, you give The Art Room permission to use any media of you or your child without approval. This media will only be used with good intentions and could include use for promotions, website, and social media.
If you choose to opt out of media usage, please email
hello@theartroompdx.com
PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE
You give your permission for your child to participate in The Art Room’s programs. You release and hold The Art Room harmless from any and all liability that may arise in connection with the studio's art programs.
I have thoroughly read, fully understand and agree to be bound by the terms of these Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions will govern my child’s current and future participation in Meri Cherry’s art programs.
SICK POLICIES
If your child is sick, please do not send them to camp. Similarly, if a child shows up for camp with symptoms of illness (e.g. runny nose or cough), or says they are or were not feeling well recently, your counselors will contact the child's adult to pick them up.
We do not offer refunds for cancellations related to illness. Please review our cancellation policy for more details.
